SnowFox Discoveries needed a digital transformation of their historic U.S. scanned contour maps, aiming for high resolution raster based output. We started with accurately georeferencing each map, preserving spatial integrity. Then, we digitized contours and populated them with labelled elevation data from scanned maps in shapefiles. Using advanced interpolation, we converted vector contours into smooth, raster layers, carefully drawing break lines and capturing point elevations. The result? A high resolution digital twin that replicate real world terrain, giving SnowFox an interactive output to explore and analyze their landscapes with unprecedented clarity and depth.
